Shashi Tharoor’s plea for preservation of Sunanda Pushkar’s Tweets

Yesterday, The Delhi High Court has issued notice in the application of Shashi Tharoor requesting to preserve the tweets which were posted by SunandaPushkar before her death. (Shashi Tharoor vs State).  Direction to the Delhi Police Department was passed by a single Judge Bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri. The application forms part of the appeal of Shashi Tharoor against the revoking of his plea under Section 91 CrPC for bringing on record Pushkar’s tweets. It is Tharoor’s case that Pushkar’s Twitter timeline ought to be brought on record and made part of the case material soas to intuite her state of mind before her death as it would have a “crucial comportment” on the matter of his discharge or framing of charge.

Allahabad HC to reserve order on plea challenging stay on appointments

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Monday reserved the order on 3 special pleas of UP government challenge stays on the appointments of 69,000 assistant basic teachers in the state. The matter was heard by a division bench comprising of Justices P K Jaiswal & D K Singh. Allahabad HC reserved the order on 3 special pleas of UP govt. Earlier, the matter was listed for hearing dated June 9 but on request of the state, the court heard the issue on Monday.

The MD of PTV has said that his organization does not consider such a crime to be excusable. He said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. PTV is being trolled on social media for this latest mistake.
