As India slowdowns its extended lockdown in some areas it needs to learn from the successes and failures of other countries accordingly should lift proper steps. Along with Lockdown fight against pandemic seems unending but life never stops it has to go forward; keeping eyes on this and lockdown slowdowns. But war is still on!
Director of WHO Health Emergencies Program Michael Ryan said that the Coronavirus may become another endemic virus in the community and may never go away. He added “Just like the HIV has never gone away; there is no clue as to when the novel coronavirus will disappear but we have found ways for those who have HIV to live long and healthy lives for a longer period of time. We have to be realistic; we don’t know when the disease will disappear. If we can find a highly effective vaccine which we can distribute to everyone in the world who need it, we could have a shot at eliminating coronavirus”.
The study by Yan Wu from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Colleagues found that the two antibodies bind to glycoprotein spike of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and thereby block the entry of the virus into host cells. The twin antibodies identified by the researchers are named B38 and H4.
Meanwhile Gilead has licensed “Remedesivir” (Antiviral Drug) to 5 drugmakers in India and Pakistan who can make the experimental COVID-19drug for distribution in 127 countries. The companies are Cipla, Hetero Labs, Jubilant Lifesciences and Mylan in INDIA. The Licenses are ROYALTY-FREE until WHO declares the end of pandemic or until any another COVID-19 drug or vaccine is approved.
