The economic package announced by PM will enhance growth & build a very self-reliant India: Nirmala Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today said that the economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees announced by the prime minister will enhance growth and build a very self-reliant India-Atmanirbhar Bharat. Addressing media in New Delhi on Wednesday evening, Ms. Sitharaman said, this whole initiative is called Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. She said, in order to provide more funds at the disposal of the taxpayers, the rates of TDS for non salaried specified payments made to residents and rates of TCS for the specified recipts shall be reduced by 25 % of the existing rates.

Curfew announced in Saudi Arabia on Eid will be a complete lockdown

The Saudi government has announced that a 24 hour curfew will be imposed across the country from May 23 to 27 with Eid ul Fitr at the end of the month of Ramadan. Given the increasing infection of corona virus, Saudi Arabia’s intermediate Ministry has announced a curfew. There will be no relaxation in this curfew lasting 5 days and it will be a complete lockdown. There is a complete ban in Mecca and there is no concession in curfew. Mecca has become the most corona virus affected city in Saudi Arabia.

Terrorist attack on the Women’s hospital and the cementery in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, 3 unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire and hurled grenades at an obstetric hospital in the capital on Tuesday, killing 5 people, including two newborns, and injuring 15. At the same time, at least 21 people were killed and 30 were injured in a suicide attack during the last rites in Nangarhar province. Home ministry spokesman Tariq Arian had said that the place where the explosion occurred is in Chahar Asab district. He blamed the Taliban for the attack and called it a crime against the humanity.
